Denny Hamlin won the last NASCAR Cup Series Round of 16 race, the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor speedway. He took the lead coming out of pit road on Lap 366 of 500, and he ran away from Kyle Larson, beating him by 2.462 seconds. He led the last 135 laps and led 142 overall. The only driver who led more laps was Christopher Bell, who won the pole position and ended up finishing third.
