eSports Betting: League of Legends LCS Matches Odds & Picks June 14

Written by on June 12, 2020

eSports has become the focus of the sports betting world, and the North American professional league for League of Legends is the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) , currently in its eighth year of operation. The league is about to launch the Summer 2020 season, in which ten teams compete in a double round robin group stage. The top eight teams will advance to the playoffs. Action begins on Friday, June 12, and today’s article focuses on Sunday’s action. Let’s check the League of Legends Odds for this weekend games.

eSports: League of Legends LCS Matches: June 14

Matches for June 14

Cloud9 (1.19)  vs 100 Thieves (4.1) (4:00 pm ET)

Cloud9 has dominated the rivalry with 100 Thieves, winning eight of the first 11 meetings. In fact, the last time 100 Thieves won came in June 2019, during the LCS Summer 2019 Group Stage.

Cloud9 rolled through the LCS Spring 2020 playoffs, beating 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses and FlyQuest, dropping just two games in three best-of-five matches to take the spring playoff title. 100 Thieves beat Evil Geniuses to bring the LCS Spring 2020 Group Stage to a close but lost both of their playoff games, falling to Cloud9 and then to SoloMid. Based on recent track record, I don’t see Cloud9 slowing down now.

  • Final Prediction: Cloud9 wins

Dignitas (2.8) vs Team SoloMid (1.39) (5:00 pm ET)

These teams will meet for the fifth time on Sunday. Team SoloMid has won three of the first four matches, with the other going to Dignitas. Dignitas did win the last matchup, back on March 29 in LCS Spring 2020 Group Stage play.

Dignitas had won four matches in a row before losing to the Golden Guardians at the close of the LCS Spring 2020 Group Stage. Only the top six teams in that league made the playoffs, so they were on the outside looking in. They beat the Evil Geniuses, the Immortals (twice) and Team SoloMid down the stretch, which meant they beat the third- and fourth-place teams as the season wound down.

Team SoloMid lost to FlyQuest in the third-place game of the LCS Spring 2020 Playoffs and lost their last two matches in group play, so this is not a team rolling in with a ton of momentum. I’m going to take Dignitas for the upset.

  • Final Prediction: Dignitas wins

Team Liquid (1.44) vs Golden Guardians (2.65) (6:00 pm ET)

This will be the 11th meeting between Team Liquid and the Golden Guardians. The Golden Guardians have won four times in the rivalry, while Team Liquid has won six. The Golden Guardians won the last two, though, both in the LCS Spring 2020 Group Stage.

Team Liquid has not won in their last five matches, as they did not qualify for the LCS Spring 2020 playoffs. The Golden Guardians come in having won four of their last five, but they fell in the first round of the LCS Spring 2020 Playoffs to FlyQuest. It’s hard to see why they are the underdog here, so I’m going to pile on while the betting is good.

  • Final Prediction: Golden Guardians wins

Counter Logic Gaming (2.05) vs Immortals (1.77) (7:00 pm ET)

These two teams are both looking for better results in the LCS Summer 2020 season as they both missed the Spring 2020 Playoffs. Immortals has dominated this series, winning all seven of their matchups with Counter Logic Gaming. Counter Logic Gaming has not win any of their last five matches, dating back into the LCS Spring 2020 Group Stage season. Immortals is also winless over their last five matches — so something has to give. Both of these teams are inconsistent, so I’m going with the probability numbers here and choosing Counter Logic Gaming.

  • Final Prediction: Counter Logic Gaming wins
