NASCAR Betting: 2020 Dixie Vodka 400 Odds & Preview June 14

NASCAR will be in sunny South Florida this weekend, as Homestead-Miami Speedway will host a pair of Xfinity Series races ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series headliner, the Dixie Vodka 400, with the broadcast set for 3:30 pm Eastern time on FOX. This will be the first NASCAR event since the sport’s resumption from the COVID-19 shutdown to have spectators, as NASCAR has invited 1,000 members of the military from the Homestead Air Reserve Base and U.S. Southern Command to watch. Denny Hamlin will have the first position after coming out ahead in a random drawing, and he hopes to rebound from a disappointing Wednesday race at Martinsville. Don’t miss the NASCAR betting odds on the drivers as well as our suggestions for your wager cards.

No active driver has a better record at Homestead-Miami Speedway than Kevin Harvick, who has an average finish of 6.42 in 19 career races. He has 11 top-five finishes during that time, and only Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth have been in the lead for more laps here than Harvick, who has led 414 laps. He won the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 last Sunday, so he’s looking for his second win in eight days.

Martin Truex Jr won at Martinsville on Wednesday and also has done well at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He won here in 2017, the year he won the NASCAR Cup Series, and he has been the runner-up in his last two races here. He has six top-ten finishes in the seven races NASCAR has run since the Cup Series resumed.

Joey Logano won two of the first four races in 2020 but has not won since the resumption of action on May 17. He has made the top ten four times and would have had a top-five finish at Bristol if it were not for a late crash. In his last seven races, he has led 333 laps, and he will start in second position on Sunday.

Kyle Busch is still looking for his first win of 2020, and he has to be due soon, given that he has six top-five finishes, tied for best in the NASCAR Cup Series with Harvick. He was the runner-up at Atlanta, Darlington and Fontana. He has led 463 laps at Homestead-Miami Speedway in his career, and he has won a pair of races here, both to clinch NASCAR Cup Series titles, in 2015 and then again last year.

Chase Elliott has seven top-ten finishes and five top-five finishes in 11 races this year, and he got a win at Charlotte. He has four career starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway with an average finish of 9.5.

Ryan Blaney came in fourth at Atlanta and third twice in Charlotte since the NASCAR Cup Series resumed. He is still looking for his first top-ten finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway, but given the racing package and his recent history, he should get it.

Denny Hamlin gets to change from his 750 HP package, which got him three bad races in a row, to the 550 HP package, which he used to win at Darlington, among four top-five finishes overall. He is one of just two active drivers (along with Kyle Busch) to win at Homestead-Miami Speedway twice.
