Amanda Lemos (11-1-1, 5-1 UFC, +155) vs Jessica Andrade (22-9, 13-7 UFC, -190) is the latest adventure in Andrade’s fighting career. She entered as an exciting bantamweight prospect, but it was when she dropped 20 pounds to get to strawweight that she really took off, as she was able to keep her power. The fact that she did not have much technical savvy, though, led to a defeat in her title bout with Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who took advantage of her length and athleticism. When she knocked out Karolina Kowalkiewicz, she got another title fight, and it looked like she was going to fall to Rose Namajunas quickly, due to a hurricane of strikes, but then Andrade moved in, picked up Namajunas and dropped her on her head, knocking her out and taking the belt. She would not win another strawweight fight, though, as Weili Zhang needed only 42 seconds to knock her out, and Namajunas won the rematch over three rounds. Andrade moved to flyweight, where she knocked Katlyn Chookagian out before getting run over by Valentina Shevchenko. Despite knocking out Cynthia Calvillo in the first round back in September, Andrade is back in the strawweight division, and now she faces one of the promotion’s rising talents in Amanda Lemos.

Lemos also joined UFC as a bantamweight, but her only fight in that division was a loss to Leslie Smith, followed by a failed drug test after the fight – and a two-year ban. She came back in December 2019 at strawweight, and she still had all the strength she had shown while 20 pounds heavier. She submitted Miranda Granger in the first round, and she followed that up with two more first-round finishes against weaker fighters in the division. In December, Angela Hill represented Lemos’ toughest test as a strawweight, and although Hill took the early lead on the cards, Lemos battled back, keeping her power through the last round and grabbing the split decision. Lemos has more technical skill than Andrade and has similar levels of power and strength. Lemos does move at a slower pace for the most part, but she could also follow the strategy of Weili Zhang and start with a blitz.

Final Prediction: Lemos wins via knockout

Clay Guida (37-21, 17-15 UFC, -115) vs Claudio Puelles (11-2, 4-1 UFC, -115) brings back one of the more steadfast gatekeepers in the promotion, as Guida is now 40, but he can still bring a glend of wrestling, durability and a refusal to give up. He beat Leonardo Santos in December in a fight that started with Santos delivering all sorts of punishment. Guida survived the first round and came back to deliver a submission win in the second.

Puelles was the runner-up on the last season of The Ultimate Fighter Latin America, but he only fought twice in the next four years, but in UFC, his grappling skills have come to the forefront. He has a four-win streak going, with two of those coming by the kneebar. In June, he outworked Jordan Leavitt on the ground, but against Guida, he will also need to be able to fight on his feet, given that his wrestling game is not yet strong enough to submit Guida and end the fight. Expect Guida to dictate the terms of the fight and to stack up enough points to win.

Final Prediction: Guida wins via decision
