NFL Week 15 Over/Under Picks for Thursday, Sunday and Monday Games

NFL Week 15 Over/Under Picks for Thursday, Sunday and Monday Games

Written by on December 13, 2022

The Arizona Cardinals (4-9) were already taking on water, and then quarterback Kyler Murray was taken off the field on a cart after suffering a non-contact knee injury in the second minute of the Cards’ Monday night contest against the New England Patriots. He is scheduled for an MRI, but sources are already indicating that an ACL tear is the likely diagnosis. He took off on a run to the right on the game’s third play, and he fell down as his knee appeared to buckle. Colt McCoy came on to lead the Cardinal attack, but the Patriots only allowed one offensive touchdown and scored a defensive touchdown en route to a convincing 27-13 win. Going into Week 15, let’s break down the over/under prop for each matchup as you plan your NFL betting choices.

NFL News: Week 15 O/U Picks

Thursday, December 15

San Francisco 49ers (-3.5) at Seattle Seahawks (O/U 43.5) (8:15 pm ET, Prime Video)

The San Francisco defense came through against the run and the pass in that 35-7 thumping of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. The Buccaneers have a tough defense of their own but could not slow the 49ers down, particularly in the running game. Seattle has a slightly better offense than the Bucs, but their defense is not as stout. Take the over.

Saturday, December 17

Indianapolis Colts (+4) at Minnesota Vikings (47.5) (1:00 pm ET, NFL Network)

The Colts have a grinding offense with Matt Ryan at the helm, and their drives tend to bog down. The Vikings have high-flying offensive talent, but they only managed 23 points against a Detroit team not known for defense. Take the under.

Baltimore Ravens (+3) at Cleveland Browns (37.5) (4:30 pm ET, NFL Network)

The Browns are still waiting for Deshaun Watson to get back up to game speed, while the Baltimore Ravens could be down to their third quarterback. Both teams have stout defenses as well. Take the under.

Miami Dolphins (-7) at Buffalo Bills (42.5) (8:15 pm ET, NFL Network)

Both teams struggled on offense this past week, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Tua and Josh go toe-to-toe in a track meet this week – in a domed stadium. The forecast right now is about a 60% chance of snow. Take the under.

Sunday, December 18

Philadelphia Eagles (-8.5) at Chicago Bears (48.5) (1:00 pm ET, FOX)

This could get ugly in a hurry, as the Bears don’t have much in the way of defense, and the Eagles have been putting up points in bunches against everyone. Take the over.

Atlanta Falcons (+4) at New Orleans Saints (42.5) (1:00 pm ET, FOX)

Both of these teams struggle to score touchdowns, and the Falcons appear to be leaning toward rookie Desmond Ridder as the starter this week. Andy Dalton can move the ball, but he throws too many interceptions, and the red zone seems to be a mystifying place. Take the under.

Detroit Lions (-1) at N.Y. Jets (44.5) (1:00 pm ET, CBS)

Sunday is supposed to be cold but clear in Gotham, and we have two teams that can get the vertical passing game going – and the Lions may have the top vertical passing game in the NFC. Take the over.

Pittsburgh Steelers (+1.5) at Carolina Panthers (38.5) (1:00 pm ET, CBS)

Kenny Pickett is in the concussion protocol for the second time in 10 games. Mason Rudolph is ready to go if he can’t, but while Rudolph has a cannon of an arm, he throws way too many interceptions. Sam Darnold and the Panthers’ offense looked solid against Seattle last week. Take the over.

Dallas Cowboys (-4.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars (47.5) (1:00 pm ET, FOX)

Which Dallas team will show up – the one that only managed 21 points in the first three quarters against the Colts, or the one that scored 33 in the fourth quarter of that game? The offense looked balky against Houston last week, and it’s the wrong time of year to have those problems. Jacksonville looks like they can score against top defenses, so this could be a track meet that comes down to the last drive. Take the over.

Kansas City Chiefs (-14) at Houston Texans (48.5) (1:00 pm ET, CBS)

Houston’s defense intercepted Dak Prescott three times last week but still gave up 27 points. The Chiefs might hit 50 all by themselves this week. Take the over.

Arizona Cardinals (-1.5) at Denver Broncos (38.5) (4:05 pm ET, FOX)

Colt McCoy will go for the Cardinals, and Russell Westbrook went into the concussion protocol on Sunday for the Broncos. Neither offense has been all that productive this season. Take the under.

New England Patriots (+1.5) at Las Vegas Raiders (44.5) (4:05 pm ET, FOX)

Bill Belichick should be able to find ways to frustrate Derek Carr and keep the Raiders’ offense from falling into rhythm, and Mac Jones showed he could make some dynamic throws down the field against Arizona last week. Even so, the Raiders could struggle to hold up their end of the scoring bargain here. Take the under.

Tennessee Titans (+2.5) at L.A. Chargers (46.5) (4:25 pm ET, CBS)

The Chargers have a fearsome pass rush, and the Titans have stout players in the first two levels of their defense. I do see Justin Herbert lighting up the Tennessee secondary, though, and I also see Derrick Henry having a breakout game. Take the over.

Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (43.5) (4:25 pm ET, CBS)

Joe Burrow did an excellent job of waiting to take what Cleveland gave him last week in a workmanlike, 23-10 win. I see the Bengals taking a similar approach this week – and I see Tom Brady playing better. Take the under.

N.Y. Giants (+3.5) at Washington Commanders (40.5) (8:20 pm ET, NBC)

We have two slow, steady offenses that grind down the opposition, and we also have two stout defenses. Take the under.

Monday, December 12

L.A. Rams (+7.5) at Green Bay Packers (39.5) (8:15 pm ET, ESPN)

Baker Mayfield and Aaron Rodgers? Take the over.
