NFL Week 14 Odds, Overview & Predictions for Each Game

Written by on December 8, 2021

There are six different games in the NFL this week featuring clashes between teams with records at .500 or higher. Three of these come in the 1:00 pm ET window, as three different divisional clashes unfold (Dallas vs Washington, Baltimore vs Cleveland and Kansas City vs Las Vegas). The late afternoon window features Cincinnati vs San Francisco, and then the prime time game Sunday has Buffalo visiting Tampa Bay. On Monday night, Arizona will host the Los Angeles Rams.

We have sports betting picks for each game on this week’s slate.

NFL News: Week 14 Odds, Overview & Predictions for Each Game

Bye: Indianapolis, Miami, New England, Philadelphia

Pittsburgh Steelers at Minnesota Vikings (-3)

Thursday, December 9 | 8:20 pm ET | FOX / NFL Network
Did you know that the Steelers and Vikings are first and second in the NFL in sacks, respectively? I don’t expect Dalvin Cook to be close to 100% (shoulder) if he does play, and Adam Thielen (ankle) is listed as questionable. However, Pittsburgh has an aging quarterback traveling on a short week.

Baltimore Ravens (+2) at Cleveland Browns

Sunday, December 12 | 1:00 pm ET Games | CBS
The Browns do come in off the bye week, but can Baker Mayfield be close to healthy? Can anyone on the Browns’ defense keep up with Lamar Jackson? On the other hand, the Ravens have played some ugly ball as of late. However, I don’t see Cleveland getting past a Ravens team that is slightly healthier.

Jacksonville Jaguars (+10) at Tennessee Titans

Sunday, December 12 | 1:00 pm ET Games | CBS
Tennessee is 3-0 coming off a bye with Mike Vrabel as the head coach, but they desperately need Derrick Henry back to key their offense. The Jaguars have lost four straight and have only scored 48 points combined in those games.

Las Vegas Raiders (+8.5) at Kansas City Chiefs

Sunday, December 12 | 1:00 pm ET Games | CBS
The Raiders responded to that big win in Dallas by folding at home against Washington, and now they visit a Chiefs team that has allowed 56 points combined over their last five games. Kansas City won in Las Vegas in Week 9 behind five touchdowns from Patrick Mahomes.

Chiefs to win and cover: Bet the Game Today

New Orleans Saints (-6) at N.Y. Jets

Sunday, December 12 | 1:00 pm ET Games | CBS
Taysom Hill threw four picks in his season debut against Dallas, and he has a finger injury that might cause the team to start Trevor Siemian at quarterback again. They face a Jets team that is 30th in the league in run defense…but has knocked off Tennessee and Cincinnati this year.

Jets to cover: Bet the Game Today

Dallas Cowboys (-4.5) at Washington Football Team

Sunday, December 12 | 1:00 pm ET Games | FOX
The Cowboys have not looked good since the bye. They barely escaped New Orleans last week despite snagging four interceptions. Washington looks confident on both sides of the ball and beat Dallas twice in 2020.

Washington to cover: Bet the Game Today

Atlanta Falcons (+3) at Carolina Panthers

Sunday, December 12 | 1:00 pm ET Games | FOX
Carolina gets Atlanta out of the bye – and they fired OC Joe Brady during the break. This could be a run-heavy day for the Panthers, which will mean a lower score and a tougher time for Atlanta.

Panthers to win and cover: Bet the Game Today

Seattle Seahawks (-7.5) at Houston Texans

Sunday, December 12 | 1:00 pm ET Games | FOX
This is a dangerous, dangerous trap game for Seattle after their big win over San Francisco last week. Houston cannot stop the run, and Russell Wilson finally looked healthy last week against the 49ers.

San Francisco 49ers (-1) at Cincinnati Bengals

Sunday, December 12 4:05 / 4:25 pm ET Games | CBS
Jimmy G vs Joe Burrow. The Bengals have to be frustrated after their turnover parade last week against the Chargers, while the 49ers are shaking off that loss to Seattle. I like Burrow and the Cincinnati offense to prevail late.

Bengals to cover: Bet the Game Today

Buffalo Bills (+3) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Sunday, December 12 4:05 / 4:25 pm ET Games | CBS
Tampa Bay has not lost at home this season. Buffalo is second in the league in scoring defense. However, the Bills simply could not stop the run against New England last week, so I see Leonard Fournette putting up huge numbers for the Bucs, and I see the Bills once again struggling to run the ball.

Detroit Lions (+8.5) at Denver Broncos

Sunday, December 12 (4:05 / 4:25 pm ET Games)
Yes, Jared Goff finally led the Lions to a win last week after keeping the team close all season. The Broncos have a stout defense and get to play at home; they also have their eyes on a wild card.

N.Y. Giants (+10.5) at L.A. Chargers

Sunday, December 12 | 4:05 / 4:25 pm ET Games | FOX
The Chargers have gone 3-3 in their last six games, alternating victories and setbacks. The Giants have covered just once in six road games this season; even so, this is a fairly large spread. I see the Chargers pulling away late, but I like the Giants to cover.

Giants to cover: Bet the Game Today

Chicago Bears (+12.5) at Green Bay Packers

Sunday, December 12 | 8:20 pm ET, | NBC
The Pack could clinch the division if the Vikings lose. Green Bay comes out of the bye to play Chicago; over the last two seasons, the Packers have an 8-4 record when they come in with more rest than their opponents. But is this spread too big?

Bears to cover: Bet the Game Today

L.A. Rams (+2.5) at Arizona Cardinals

Monday, December 13 | 8:15 pm ET | ESPN
The Cardinals take a stranglehold in the NFC West race here with a win. The Rams bounced back big-time last week against Jacksonville, but that was Jacksonville. I’m not sure Matthew Stafford can outduel a rested Kyler Murray on the road.
