NFL Quarterbacks Betting Odds: Rivalries for Week 12

NFL Quarterbacks Betting Odds: Rivalries for Week 12

Written by on November 22, 2022

Can the San Francisco 49ers finally trust Jimmy Garoppolo? He threw four touchdown passes as the 49ers rolled right over the Arizona Cardinals, 38-10, in Mexico City on Monday night. It helped that Arizona had backup quarterback Colt McCoy running the offense. There are quite a few teams struggling at quarterback right now: what on earth has happened to Baker Mayfield, who went from Cleveland’s darling to a guy who lost the starting job in Carolina to P.J. Walker. Who is mentoring Zach Wilson? The Jets’ quarterback definitely needs some help when it comes to taking accountability for his team’s offensive struggles. Check out the quarterback matchups for Week 12 as you consider your NFL sports betting.

NFL News: Week 12 QB Rundown

Thursday, November 24

Buffalo Bills (-9) at Detroit Lions (O/U 54)
(12:30 pm ET, CBS)

Detroit comes in on a three-game winning streak, and Jared Goff’s ball security has had a lot to do with that, especially with the adjustment to life without tight end T.J. Hockenson. Few quarterbacks have the big-play potential of Josh Allen, but the Bills haven’t ben finishing well for almost a month now. Could Goff lead the upset?

N.Y. Giants (+9) at Dallas Cowboys (O/U 44.5)
(4:30 pm ET, FOX)

Daniel Jones has steadied himself this year, reducing the turnovers. Dak Prescott looked shaky until a dominant performance in Minnesota on Sunday. We’ve said this before; the only real ceiling in Dallas is the ceiling that team management and leadership place on it through poor discipline and entitled team culture.

New England Patriots (+3) at Minnesota Vikings (O/U 42.5)
(8:20 pm ET, NBC)

Mac Jones has taken a significant step back in his sophomore season in the NFL, while Kirk Cousins just got punched in the mouth by the Cowboys. Cousins has a lot more talent around him to help him bounce back.

Sunday, November 27

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3) at Cleveland Browns (O/U 43.5)
(1:00 pm ET, FOX)

This will be Jacoby Brissett’s last start for the Browns with Deshaun Watson’s suspension coming to an end. Brissett put up some big numbers in last week’s loss to Buffalo. Tom Brady has shown signs of getting back on track, but it’s still a slog for the Bucs.

Cincinnati Bengals (-1.5) at Tennessee Titans (O/U 42.5)
(1:00 pm ET, CBS)

Joe Burrow still has a lot of work to do to get the Bengals into the postseason. If that sounds familiar, this is about the time last season when he got the Bengals on that long streak. Ryan Tannehill is at his best when Derrick Henry has the running game going, and that worked to perfection in Green Bay last week.

Houston Texans (+12) at Miami Dolphins (O/U 46)
(1:00 pm ET, CBS)

You get the sense that Davis Mills could be a serviceable quarterback with talent around him. Tua Tagovailoa has the Dolphins’ offense cooking every week.

Chicago Bears (+6) at N.Y. Jets (O/U 41.5)
(1:00 pm ET, FOX)

Will it be Justin Fields or Trevor Siemian for the Bears, with Fields separating his non-throwing shoulder last week? Will it be Zach Wilson or Joe Flacco for the Jets, after Wilson got whiny about the weather after going just 9 of 22 in a dud of a day against the Patriots?

Atlanta Falcons (+3.5) at Washington Commanders (O/U 43)
(1:00 pm ET, FOX)

Marcus Mariota is a gritty signal-caller who will take punishment by running the ball, and his throwing is getting more accurate and efficient. Taylor Heinicke remains the starter in Washington after winning three of four during Carson Wentz’s absence.

Baltimore Ravens (-4) at Jacksonville Jaguars (O/U 44)
(1:00 pm ET, CBS)

Lamar Jackson could only lead the Ravens to 13 points at home against Carolina? He should still easily win the quarterback duel with Trevor Lawrence.

Denver Broncos (-2.5) at Carolina Panthers (O/U 35)
(1:00 pm ET, FOX)

Russell Wilson against Baker Mayfield (or P.J. Walker, if Walker’s ankle is good enough for him to go?) Get ready for the triple-option, or the single-wing, or some other scheme that minimizes the forward pass from each side.

L.A. Chargers (-3.5) at Arizona Cardinals (O/U 47.5)
(4:05 pm ET, CBS)

Colt McCoy had a rough night on Monday, going 24 of 34 for 218 yards and an interception. He got hit numerous times and took 3 sacks in a 38-10 loss. Justin Herbert had a terrific night against Kansas City but had a tough-luck interception off a double carom that let the Chiefs hold on. Expect Herbert to have a big night this time around.

Las Vegas Raiders (+3.5) at Seattle Seahawks (O/U 47.5)
(4:05 pm ET, CBS)

Geno Smith continues to produce at an elite level, and Derek Carr led an exciting overtime win. We could see big numbers from both teams this week.

L.A. Rams (+14.5) at Kansas City Chiefs (O/U 44)
(4:25 pm ET, FOX)

Whether it’s Matthew Stafford or John Wolford for the Rams, I like Patrick Mahomes to win this duel running away.

New Orleans Saints (+8.5) at San Francisco 49ers (O/U 42.5)
(4:25 pm ET, FOX)

Andy Dalton had huge numbers for the Saints last week, but he didn’t equal the four touchdown passes that Jimmy G hoisted down in Mexico City on Monday.

Green Bay Packers (+7) at Philadelphia Eagles (O/U 45.5)
(8:20 pm ET, NBC)

Aaron Rodgers is showing signs of life at a time when Jalen Hurts is suddenly starting to struggle with the Philadelphia offense.

Monday, November 28

Pittsburgh Steelers (+3) at Indianapolis Colts (O/U 39.5)
(8:15 pm ET, ESPN)

Kenny Pickett is fun to watch, and he is gaining confidence with each passing week (no pun intended). Matt Ryan still looks extremely pedestrian, but Sam Ehlinger just is not NFL-ready.
