Odds for the NFL Leaders in Passing, Rushing and Receiving Yards

As we look to the 2021 NFL regular season, one way you can turn your sports betting into profits is to pick the players who will lead the league in offensive categories through the season. Obviously, you’re hoping that injuries don’t sideline the top players that you pick, but the same goes for wagering on games as well.

Let’s take a look at the football odds for players to lead the NFL in passing, rushing and receiving yards this season, along with our thoughts on some of the contenders.

NFL News: A Look at the Odds for Leaders in Passing, Rushing and Receiving Yards

Player Odds: NFL Leader in Passing Yards

Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City) +310
Dak Prescott (Dallas) +500
Josh Allen (Buffalo) +850
Tom Brady (Tampa Bay) +950
Justin Herbert (L.A. Chargers) +1200
Matt Ryan (Atlanta) +1300
Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay), Matthew Stafford (L.A. Rams) +2000
Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville) +3100
Joe Burrow (Cincinnati) +3400
Derek Carr (Las Vegas), Ryan Fitzpatrick (Washington) +3700
Kirk Cousins (Minnesota), Kyler Murray (Arizona) +4100
Jared Goff (Detroit), Russell Wilson (Seattle) +4400

Since Patrick Mahomes took the starting job in Kansas City in 2018, he has thrown for 13,868 yards. The only NFL quarterback with more yards over that time is Atlanta’s Matt Ryan, with 13,971. Dak Prescott was putting up 371.2 yards per contest when he went down in Week 5 with an ankle fracture that ended his season. Mahomes should have plenty of hunger after getting stomped in the Super Bowl, and he has all kinds of weapons around him.

Player Odds: NFL Leader in Rushing Yards

Derrick Henry (Tennessee) +300
Dalvin Cook (Minnesota) +500
Nick Chubb (Cleveland) +700
Christian McCaffrey (Carolina) +800
Jonathan Taylor (Indianapolis), Saquon Barkley (N.Y. Giants +900
Ezekiel Elliott (Dallas) +1200

Ezekiel Elliott has led the NFL in rushing in two different seasons. However, he looked a step lower last year, and Tony Pollard came on to cash in some of the Cowboys’ big plays in the running game. Jonatan Taylor played 15 games as a rookie a year ago and ran for 1,169 yards on 232 carries (5.0 yards per carry), scoring 11 touchdowns on the ground. He came in third in the NFL in rushing a year ago, and he could grow in Indy — if the Carson Wentz experiment pays off. Nick Chubb returns to a Cleveland team that is widely picked to win the AFC North, but he shares time with Kareem Hunt, so having him win the rushing title is less likely.

Player Odds: NFL Leader in Receiving Yards

In 2020, the leader in this category was a rookie, as Justin Jefferson hauled in balls for 1,400 yards. That was amazing given the number of elite players running routes with a lot more NFL experience. Here are the contender odds:

DeAndre Hopkins (Arizona) +750
Stefon Diggs (Buffalo) +800
Calvin Ridley (Atlanta) +1000
Tyreek Hill (Kansas City) +1200
D.K. Metcalf (Seattle), Davante Adams (Green Bay),
Travis Kelce (Kansas City) +1300
A.J. Brown (Tennessee), Justin Jefferson (Minnesota) +1400
Keenan Allen (L.A. Chargers) +1700
Amari Cooper (Dallas), Terry McLaurin (Washington) +1900
Allen Robinson (Chicago), Julio Jones (Tennessee) +2400
CeeDee Lamb (Dallas) +2600
Chris Godwin (Tampa Bay), Mike Evans (Tampa Bay) +2700
Ja’Marr Chase (Cincinnati) +2800
Darren Waller (Las Vegas), George Kittle (San Francisco), Odell Beckham Jr (Cleveland) +3100
D.J. Moore (Carolina), Tee Higgins (Cincinnati +3200
Cooper Kupp (L.A. Rams), Robert Woods (L.A. Rams) +3500
Adam Thielen (Minnesota), Chase Claypool (Pittsburgh) +3700
Corey Davis (N.Y. Jets), Kenny Golladay (N.Y Giants),
Tyler Lockett (Seattle) +4400
Kyle Pitts (Atlanta) +7000
