The Philadelphia 76ers posted an emphatic 116-95 victory in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night. He put up 33 points and 10 rebounds and just took the game over during the third period, nailing a three-ball that pushed the Sixers’ lead to a dozen. Jimmy Butler added 22 points. Kawhi Leonard put up 33 points of his own for Toronto and had 14 points in the third period, but that was not enough to help Toronto keep pace with the Philadelphia attack. Now in Game 4 the Sixers have the opportunity push Toronto to the brink of elimination — while the Raptors have the chance to seize back home court advantage and send the series all square back to Canada. Which should you wager on? We have your NBA betting preview right here.

Why should you bet on Toronto?

It may be a one-and-done season for Kawhi Leonard in Toronto, as rumors are split bewteen him remaining in Canada next year on an extension or heading to Los Angeles to join the Clippers. For now, though, he is all-in for the Raptors. As he showed during some parts of the third period in Game 3 and in longer stretches of Game 1, he can take over a game and handle all the scoring by himself. With that sort of weapon, a team that is easily frustrated (which the Sixers tend to be) can lose its focus and give up a string of poor plays. Don’t forget the role that Kyle Lowry plays in guiding this offense. His patient leadership has guided the Raptors up and down the floor all season long, and if the Raptors’ shooting can improve in Game 4, the result should be a lot closer. The team is also getting huge plays out of Pascal Siakam, and if he can get back to stout defense instead of the antics such as tripping Embiid (which earned Siakam a flagrant foul), the Raptors could frustrate Philadelphia on their own home floor.

Why should you put your money on Philadelphia?

The energy in Philadelphia is intense right now, with Allen Iverson and hometown rap star Meek Mill courtside for each contest. The 76ers have been building toward this point for years, as the city had to endure the dreadful years of The Process, living through a rebuild that would allow the team the room to put together the talented roster they have now. This is a team built to win today, as there are several expensive questions to answer to keep this team together in 2019-2020, and things seem to be jelling at the right time. The biggest warning sign for Toronto fans is that the team is getting plenty of points out of contributors like Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry — but the team is still down 2-1. The 76ers are averaging 114 points per game in the postseason, ten more points per game than the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors’ defense has not been able to slow down the five-headed monster that is the 76ers’ starting lineup since Game 1. If you like the Sixers, you see the contagious energy of Embiid pushing the 76ers to another win.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

It’s fun watching The Process come to fruition for the 76ers, as their talent has risen up from looking great on paper to delivering dominant results over one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. I see the Wells Fargo Center rocking again on Sunday afternoon as the Sixers take a crucial third win in this series. Final Score: Philadelphia 111, Toronto 108.
