Würth 400 Odds and Betting Picks for NASCAR Cup Series

On Sunday, Tyler Reddick paid off on +2000 odds to win the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. This is a track where chaos usually ensues at the end, and Reddick took advantage of the mayhem, zipping around a multi-car crash in the last 400 yards of the race, moving from third place in Turn 4 to win by 0.208 seconds. Michael McDowell had the lead but was trying to block competitors on the way to the finish line and ended up crashing. Reddick took the high lane around and got his first NASCAR Cup Series win of 2024 and his sixth overall. Michael Jordan of NBA stardom, one of the 23XI Racing team owners, celebrated with his driver. This was Jordan’s first time to attend a race that one of his drivers won. This week, NASCAR heads to Dover Motor Speedway, and the Cup Series event is the Würth 400, set for Sunday at 2:00 pm Eastern time. FS1 has the telecast, or you can listen to the radio call on PRN or SiriusXM. Read on to see the sports betting odds for each driver to win as well as our wager card suggestions.

Bet on the NASCAR Lines for Würth 400

Kyle Larson

Larson got wrecked in each of the last two races at Dover, but don’t be fooled by that – this is one of his favorite places to race. The lines alter over time, and the concrete surface accepts rubber. He scored 121 Hog points for fast-lap and lap-led metrics in the 2021 race here.

Martin Truex Jr

Truex Jr has four win s at Dover in his career. In four of the last six starts here, he has either won or come in second. He does well with the high banking and the concrete surface.

Ross Chastain

Chastain has done very well at Nashville, Texas Motor Speedway and Dover recently – three tracks that correlate strongly. At Dover, he came in third in 2022 and second in 2023. He was in second place on the second-to-last latp a couple of weeks ago down in Texas.

Denny Hamlin

Hamlin takes advantage of more strategic wrinkles than just about any other driver in the Cup Series. Dover has its own foibles as a track, and Hamlin knows how to leverage those as well.

Chase Elliott

Elliott goes a long time between wins…but when he starts winning, they come in bunches. He took first at Texas Motor Speedway two weeks ago, and the Dover setup is pretty similar. Historically, Elliott has raced extremely well on concrete.

Tyler Reddick

Reddick won last week, but Talladega and Dover are not similar in what they create for drivers. However, Reddick brings speed every week. He was driving fast enough to win in Texas, even though the race didn’t work out like he would have preferred it to.

William Byron

Byron had a hard time building speed at Texas Motor Speedway. Will the similar setup at Dover cause him problems again?

Ryan Blaney

Blaney has not done well historically at Dover, although he did come in third last year, so he may have turned a corner. He never led a lap in the race, but he was fifth in the number of most fast laps.

Christopher Bell

Bell is a great short-track driver, and Dover is right on the edge between short and intermediate. Even with that success, he will have a hard time getting around the other drivers who are expected to dominate here.

2023 Würth 400 Odds

NASCAR heads to Delaware this weekend, as the Dover Motor Speedway will host the circuit’s races. The Cup Series race, the Wurth 400, will bring the weekend to a close, starting at 1:00 pm Eastern time. FS1 will broadcast the race, and you can also listen on PRN or the SiriusXM app. Last week, Kyle Busch roared to victory at the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. He gambled during two overtime restarts, staying on the track instead of pitting for gas, and it paid off. He had just enough fuel to get to the finish line after six of the other cars in the lead pack were stopped by a multi-car wreck. He and Bubba Wallace were passing the lead back and forth during the last two laps, but Ryan Blaney hit Wallace’s car, sending him into the wall and starting the big crash. Let’s look at the NASCAR betting odds for the field in the Wurth 400 as well as our wager suggestions.

Chase Elliott

is an elite racer on concrete. In a dozen races at Dover, he has a pair of wins (2018 and 2022) among nine top-five finishes. In 2022, he won at Nashville and came in second at Bristol, two other concrete tracks.

Kyle Larson

won at Dover in 2019 and should have gotten the win in 2021, after leading 236 laps before settling for second.

William Byron

has seen the short- and intermediate-track package favor his team. He was the second-fastest car at Las Vegas, but he still grabbed the win.

Christopher Bell

is decent on intermediate tracks, although he is still working toward his first Cup Series win at this type of venue. He did come in fourth at Dover a year ago.

Denny Hamlin

has the best Dietrich Data Score in the Cup Series this year (0.77), a metric that breaks down every lap of every race. That number includes a disappointing 0.22 score at the dirt race at Bristol. At Las Vegas and Fontana, he posted a 0.91 score.

Ross Chastain

had the best driver rating at Fontana and finished in the top five at Las Vegas. Dover uses the same package as both of those tracks, and Chastain also finished third at Dover in this package in 2022.

Kevin Harvick

posted a top-ten driver rating in both of the 2023 races that have used this package. But can he move from the top ten to first place?

Kyle Busch

won last week and still comes in with plenty of sports betting value, perhaps because of his disappointing record in the spring Dover race historically.

Chris Buescher

won at Dover last year, and he also won at Bristol, which has the same sort of high-banked concrete surface.

Josh Berry

won the 2022 Xfinity Series race at Dover, and he could steal the win this week, driving the car (#48) that finished in the top five in 2022.
