Kyle Busch roared to victory in last week’s NASCAR Cup Series race – the Enjoy Illinois 300. That made 63 career victories for him in the Cup Series, but it took all he had to survive overtime. The race featured five restarts over the last 40 laps, and Busch eked out the win over Denny Hamlin by 0.517 seconds. The race went to overtime after Bubba Wallace’s brake rotor broke, leading to the race’s 11th caution on Lap 236. This was Busch’s first win at World Wide Technology RAceway and his third in 2023. This week, the series moves to Sonoma, California, as the Sonoma Raceway will host the Toyota / Save Mart 350.
