2024 UEFA Euro Cup Odds, Picks and Qualifying Schedule for Matchday 7

2024 UEFA Euro Cup Odds, Picks and Qualifying Schedule for Matchday 7

If soccer is a regular part of your sports betting, then you doubtless know about the upcoming UEFA Euro Cup Odds, the second-most watched soccer tournament behind the FIFA World Cup. It has been held every four years since 1960, although COVID-19 pushed the 2020 edition to the next year. While the host nation (France, in this case) will qualify automatically, the other European teams go through a qualifying process. The defending champions are Italy, who stopped England at Wembley Stadium in the final on penalty kicks. The current format will welcome 24 of the 54 member nations, and qualifying resumes on October 12. The top two teams from each group will advance, which leaves three more slots, which will be filled using a playoff of 12 teams based on their Nations League performance.

UEFA Euro Cup Odds Qualifying Schedule (October 12-13): Let’s look at the games set for October 12 and 13, as the qualifying groups will feature round-robin play with home and away legs.

Cyprus vs Norway

When: Thursday, October 12, 2:45 pm ET
Group A

This is a must-win match for Norway, who only have seven points through five group matches so far. Cyprus has five losses in five matches, with a dreadful -17 goal differential, while Norway only trail Spain by two points (although they are 14 goals back of Spain in differential). Norway need these three points badly, so while I expect Cyprus to retreat into a defensive shell, I see Norway breaking through. Norway to win.

Spain vs Scotland

When: Thursday, October 12, 2:45 pm ET
Group A

Scotland (5-0-0, 15 points, +11 GD) has sailed through the group so far. Spain (3-0-1, 9 points, +13 GD) could edge out Scotland if they can maintain a high goal differential and start creeping closer in terms of points. A win here would get the hosts within three points of a Scotland team punching well above its weight so far. Spain to win.

Croatia vs Turkey

When: Thursday, October 12, 2:45 pm ET
Group D

These two teams are tied atop Group D with 10 points, although Croatia (+8 GD) has the tiebreaker over Turkey (+2 GD), and Croatia also has a match in hand. Turkey drew with Armenia in their last group match, while Croatia routed winless Latvia. Croatia can take control of their destiny with this win at home. Croatia to win.

Latvia vs Armenia

When: Thursday, October 12, 12:00 pm ET
Group D

Armenia sit three points behind Turkey (2-1-2, 7 points), but they are also level with Wales and only lead the fourth-place team by two goals in the differential tiebreaker. This win would help Armenia move clear of Wales, and everyone other than Latvia needs to take advantage of the opportunities that playing this zero-point team brings. Armenia to win.

Albania vs Czech Republic

When: Thursday, October 12, 2:45 pm ET
Group E

Albania (3-1-1, 10 points) lead Group E, but they are only two points ahead of the Czech Republic (2-2-0, 8 points) and Moldova (2-2-1, 8 points). Both Albania and the Czech Republic have identical +5 goal differentials, but the Czechs have a match in hand. The Czechs have two draws in their last three group matches, while Albania have won three of their last four. Albania to win.

Faroe Islands vs Poland

When: Thursday, October 12, 2:45 pm ET
Group E

Poland (2-0-3, 6 points) and the Faroe Islands (0-1-4, 1 point) are basically circling the drain at this point. Poland gets back to nine wins with a win here, but the Faroe Islands have already pulled out one tough home draw in this group. Draw.

Andorra vs Kosovo

When: Thursday, October 12, 2:45 pm ET
Group I

This game determines the basement dwellers in Group I. Kosovo (0-4-2, 4 points, -3 GD) is in fifth, while Andorra (0-2-4, 2 points, -7 GD) is even worse, but Kosovo could shoot up past Belarus with this win. Can they go on the road and get the tough win? Kosovo to win.

Belarus vs Romania

When: Thursday, October 12, 2:45 pm ET
Group I

Belarus (1-1-4, 4 points, -7 GD) is ahead of Kosovo only because they have one victory over Andorra, while Kosovo’s points all come from draws. Romania (3-3-0, 12 points, +5 GD) has yet to lose in group play, but they are still just one point clear of Israel for second place. Romania needs to win to jump ahead of an Israel team that is in chaos right now, because of the geopolitical situation, but should return with passion and motivation once they can play their matches.

Israel vs Kosovo (Postponed indefinitely)

Netherlands vs France

When: Friday, October 13, 2:45 pm ET
Group B

The hosts (5-0-0, 15 points, +11 GD) are six points clear of the Netherlands (3-0-1, 9 points, +3 GD), although the Dutch have a match in hand. The Netherlands started group play with a loss but have won three in a row since. Can they knock off a tough France team at home? Draw.

Republic of Ireland vs Greece

When: Friday, October 13, 2:45 pm ET
Group B

Greece (3-0-2, 9 points, +5 GD) has a chance to shoot by the Netherlands into second place here, although they have lost two of their last three group play matches. Ireland (1-0-4, 3 points) has only beaten Gibraltar so far in group play. Greece to win.

Austria vs Belgium

When: Friday, October 13, 2:45 pm ET
Group F

The top two teams in Group F square off; the two nations have identical records (4-1-0, 13 points), with Belgium leading goal differential by 4 (+12 to +8). Austria is punching above its weight, but they already lead Sweden by seven points in the standings. Draw.

Estonia vs Azerbaijan

When: Friday, October 13, 12:00 pm ET
Group F

Estonia and Azerbaijan have each managed one point so far, but Azerbaijan has a match in hand and leads Estonia in goal differential. Can one of these teams pick up their first win of group play? I’ll go with the hosts. Estonia to win.

Iceland vs Luxembourg

When: Friday, October 13, 2:45 pm ET
Group J

Tiny Luxembourg is just three points back of Slovakia in Group J. Can they visit another low-population nation (Iceland) and get the win? Iceland is 2-0-4 (6 points). Luxembourg to win.

Liechtenstein vs Bosnia & Herzegovina

When: Friday, October 13, 2:45 pm ET
Group J

Liechtenstein has lost all six matches and has a dreadful -18 goal differential. They welcome Boznia & Herzegovina, who beat Liechtenstein at home. I think the hosts can get enough defensive play at home to convert the draw. Draw.

Portugal vs Slovakia

When: Friday, October 13, 2:45 pm ET
Group J

The top two Group J teams square off; Portugal has a +24 goal differential and a perfect 6-0-0 record. Slovakia (4-1-1, 18 points) has a +6 goal differential…and virtually no chance to go to Portugal and steal a win. Portugal to win.
