Remember when everyone was saying that LSU would mount a major test for Alabama last week? How’d that turn out? Oh yeah, Alabama rolled to a 29-0 shellacking, although Tua finally threw an interception. We also saw Southern Methodist beat their second ranked team in the last three seasons — and both times it’s been the University of Houston. Michigan is gaining some respect as a possible playoff team, as they held Penn State to just 186 yards of offense in a 42-7 rout after limiting Michigan State to 94 and Wisconsin to 283. We also saw West Virginia win on a huge gamble when they went for two with 16 seconds left against Texas — and won by one. What can we expect this week? We have three top NCAAF betting picks for you to preview as you look at your wagering week. As always, home teams are in all caps.

WEST VIRGINIA (+12.5) over TCU (12:00pm ET, FS1)

TCU barely escaped Kansas State this past weekend, eking out a 14-13 victory at home. Things have fallen far for the Horned Frogs, who once were seen as a possible candidate for the Big 12 title, but a series of losses has sent them tumbling in the standings. TCU lost the time of possession battle by over 10 minutes but luckily collected three turnovers from the Wildcats, giving them what they needed to win. Quarterback Michael Collins went just 17 for 33 for 218 yards and a score, struggling to string completions together to move the team up and and down the field. West Virginia comes in off a dramatic win down in Austin, rolling to a 42-41 win over Texas. The Mountaineers gained 578 yards on the day, but they allowed the Longhorns to gain 520. The game came down to the final possession, and when the Mountaineers scored with 16 seconds left, they made a gutsy decision to go for two and took the victory. Will Grier went 28 for 42 for 346 yards and three scores, and Martell Pettaway led the ground game with 121 yards on nine attempts, scoring a pair of touchdowns. TCU has not covered the spread in any of their last eight Big 12 games, while the Mountaineers have covered the spread in four of the last five meetings between these two teams. NCAA Football Week 11 Prediction: West Virginia 37, TCU 20 TEXAS A&M (-12) over Ole Miss (12:00pm ET, CBS) Both the Aggies and the Rebels enter with 5-4 records, although Ole Miss has only won one game in SEC play (Arkansas), while the Aggies have beaten Kentucky and South Carolina in addition to Arkansas. It looked like the Aggies were going to take down Auburn as well last week, but the Auburn offense mounted a furious comeback to win, 28-24. For the Aggies, Kellen Mond threw for 220 yards with a score and a pick. Texas A&M returns home for this game, where they have covered the spread in six of their last seven games. They are also 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games against teams with winning records. Ole Miss got 379 yards out of their quarterback last week, but they didn’t get a touchdown pass, which is one reason why they lost to South Carolina. Scottie Phillips did score three touchdowns on the ground, contributing to a mild renaissance in the Rebel offense, but they won’t be able to beat the Aggies with a game that focuses on the ground. I see Jimbo Smith’s units taking Ole Miss apart at home. NCAA Football Week 11 Prediction: Texas A&M 34, Ole Miss 17 Washington State (-6) over COLORADO (3:30pm ET, ESPN) Could Washington State finally be the real deal? They have won five in a row after knocking off California last weekend, 19-13, overcoming a stalwart Golden Bear defense. It was a touchdown pass to Easop Winston in the last minute of regulation that gave Washington State the win. The Cougars picked up 413 yards of offense and picked up two turnovers. On the season, the Cougars have scored 38.3 points per game, thanks to efficient and accurate passing from quarterback Gardner Minshew and tailbacks James Williams and Max Borghi. Colorado has now lost four in a row after losing to Arizona, 42-34, last Friday. Colorado permitted 566 yards of offense for the game and coughed the ball up twice. The Buffaloes do score a lot, averaging 32.2 points per game, but their defense has been suspect in this losing streak, and the Cougars have the talent to make them pay. Washington State has covered in eight of their last nine games overall and in five of their last six Pac-12 games, while Colorado has covered just five times in their last 17 Pac-12 games. NCAA Football Week 11 Prediction: Washington State 41, Colorado 30
