Usyk vs. Dubois Boxing Title fight: Usyk's WBC, WBO & WBA heavyweight Titles and Dubois' IBF heavyweight Title

Usyk vs. Dubois Boxing Title fight: Usyk’s WBC, WBO & WBA heavyweight Titles and Dubois’ IBF heavyweight Title

What’s the next Boxing Title fight? I think it’s fair to suggest that the boxing world has always been dominated by the Heavyweight division. When there are a lot of big men challenging for the belt, the sport thrives, but when it goes through a lean period, fight fans often shift their attention to the UFC and other fight categories. Right now, the Heavyweight division is in a good place, besides, there is a ton of attention being put on a massive Usyk vs. Dubois boxing Title coming this weekend, set to fight for the second time.

Boxing Title fight: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois, favorite to win

Thus, we are going to take a closer look at that fight, make a prediction, while also taking a quick peek at a couple of other big fights on the main card.

Two More Title Fights on the Main Card

Before we get to the big one, I think it is worth mentioning that there are a couple of other title fights on the main card.

The first one is for the WBA Continental and IBF Inter Continental Heavyweight titles, with Daniel Lapin (-461) and Lewis Edmonson (+300) squaring off.

Then, Lapin should get the job ready here.

On the other hand, the co-main event of the night is for the WBC Silver Heavyweight title, where Lawrence Okolie (-250) will defend his title against Kevin Lerena (+181).

While I think Okolie will retain the belt, I think he might need to go the distance to do it.

Usyk vs Dubois Boxing Title Fight Preview

Oleksandr Usyk

Usyk (-400) comes into this fight as the defending champion and very much looks to be at the top of his game.

As well, his overall record now stands at 23-0, but it is his last batch of fights that prove he is the best in the business.

During his recent run, he has defeat Anthony Joshua twice, Tyson Fury twice, while also beating Dubois in their previous meeting.

So if you look at his last 6 fights, 5 have gone the distance, with 2 wins coming via split decision.

However, the only one he finished inside the distance was his last meeting with Dubois.

Daniel Dubois

It looked for a moment as though we might see Usyk face Anthony Joshua for the 3rd time, but Dubois (+270) put a dent into that idea by destroying Joshua in the 5th round in his last fight.

That victory earned Dubois another crack at Usyk, who beat him in their previous meeting. That was only the 2nd loss in what has been a great pro career, with Dubois putting together a 22-2 record.

Additionally, the one thing that really stands out when looking at his previous fights is that he rarely, if ever, sees a fight go the distance, which could be a key to the O/U for this fight as well.

Usyk vs Dubois 2 Fight Prediction

Oleksandr Usyk is the clear favorite here, and for very good reason. You don’t get to this level with a perfect record without beating some very good fighters.

Moreover, I think he is a safe bet to retain the belt, but when will he get the job done.

The O/U for this one is set at 9 ½ rounds, and I would be very tempted to go with the OVER.
