The FIBA World Cup is currently taking place in Japan, the Philippines, and Indonesia and we have the basketball Lines for it. Group play began on August 25, and the tournament runs until 2023. This event is the qualifier for the 2024 Summer Olympics, as the top two teams from Europe, North America, and South America will qualify, as will the top teams from Africa, Asia, and Oceania. France is hosting the Summer Olympics and will also appear. The defending World Cup champions are Spain, who beat Argentina in the championship in 2019. On August 30, some of the teams in groups B, C, F and G will wrap up group play. Check out the schedule and consider if you want to add any of these games in your FIBA World Cup betting odds.

FIBA World Cup Games of the Round 1, Week 3: August 30 | Bet FIBA Basketball Betting Lines

FIBA World Cup Odds | South Sudan vs Serbia

Basketball Lines: South Sudan (+16.5) vs Serbia (O/U 166.5)
When: Wednesday, August 30 at 4:00 am ET
Where: Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines
TV / Streaming: ESPN+

Serbia is viewed as a dark-horse contender for the FIBA World Cup title and dominated their first two group games. South Sudan did win their last game and should enter this contest with confidence. Serbia is anchored by Nikola Jokic of the NBA’s Denver Nuggets, a perennial MVP candidate, and Bogdan Bogdanovic. South Sudan has Wenyen Gabriel patrolling the paint on defense, and their top two scorers are Carlik Jones and Kuany Kuany. Serbia to win and cover.

Georgia vs Venezuela

Basketball Lines: Georgia (-12.5) vs Venezuela (O/U 160)
When: Wednesday, August 30 at 4:00 am ET
Where: Okinawa Arena, Okinawa City, Japan
TV / Streaming: ESPN+

Georgia stopped Cape Verde in their group opener, 85-60, but then they took an 88-67 beating at the hands of Slovenia. Venezuela opened by losing to Slovenia, 100-85, and then lost to Cape Verde, 81-75. Venezuela’s defense has been porous so far, and Georgia should be able to take advantage. Georgia to win and cover.

United States vs Jordan

Basketball Lines: United States (-42.5) vs Jordan (O/U 185.5)
When: Wednesday, August 30 at 4:40 am ET
Where: Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay, Philippines
TV / Streaming: ESPN2, ESPN+

The United States leads Group C with wins over New Zealand and Greece, dominating both games. Jordan has lost to both of those teams and have basically no path to advancement. Jordan’s top player is Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. This point spread is immense for a basketball game, and it wouldn’t take much letdown for Jordan to get a backdoor cover. I think that when the defense breaks down, this game could approach 200 total points. Take the over.

Ivory Coast vs Brazil

Basketball Lines: Ivory Coast (+18.5) vs Brazil (O/U 157.5)
When: Wednesday, August 30 at 5:45 am ET
Where: Indonesia Arena, Jakarta, Indonesia
TV / Streaming: ESPN+

Brazil opened group play against Iran and ran out to a 33-12 lead. The Iranians never could turn the momentum in their favor, and they ended up losing, 100-59. The Brazilians next took on Spain, and while that game was close through three quarters, Spain turned a five-point lead into an 18-point laugher, outsourcing Brazil, 32-19 in the final frame. Ivory Coast took a 94-64 beating from Spain in their group play opener and almost lost to Iran in their second game. However, Ivory Coast got a late foul call and a technical foul free throw, turning a late one-point deficit into a 71-69 win. Both teams are 1-1 in the standings, and both need this win to advance. Brazil should win, but Ivory Coast should hang tough. Ivory Coast to cover.

FIBA World Cup Odds | Slovenia vs Cape Verde

Basketball Lines: Slovenia (-28.5) vs Cape Verde (O/U 176.5)
When: Wednesday, August 30 at 7:30 am ET
Where: Okinawa Arena, Okinawa City, Japan
TV / Streaming: ESPN+

This game is the first between these two nations in any competition. Slovenia comes in ranked seventh in the world – Cape Verde is ranked 64th. Slovenia struggled early against Venezuela but found their footing and delivered an easy win, and they followed the same script against Georgia. The talents of Luka Doncic, who plays for the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, are proving to be just too much. But can Slovenia end up winning by this margin? Slovenia to win and cover.

China vs Puerto Rico

Basketball Lines: China (+11.5) vs Puerto Rico (O/U 160.5)
When: Wednesday, August 30 at 8:00 am ET
Where: Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines
TV / Streaming: ESPN+

China enters their group play finale with an 0-2 record after losing to Serbia and South Sudan. Their top player is Kyle Anderson, who has several years of NBA experience, but he could not score a single point in the loss to Serbia. The Chinese defense struggles, especially on the perimeter, and South Sudan took advantage, filling the basket with three-pointers. Puerto Rick is 1-1 after they came back to beat South Sudan but took a rout against Serbia. The top Puerto Rican player is Tremont Waters, who can break down most defenders. Puerto Rico has to win to qualify for the knockout rounds, so expect maximum effort. Puerto Rico to win and cover.

Greece vs New Zealand

Basketball Lines: Greece (-10.5) vs New Zealand (O/U 165.5)
When: Wednesday, August 30 at 8:40 am ET
Where: Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay, Philippines
TV / Streaming: ESPN+

Greece has a problem with scoring depth. If Nikos Rogkavopoulos doesn’t hit shots from behind the arc, then the Greek offense tends to dry up. They were able to beat Jordan in their group play opener anyway, 92-71, but they only led by five after three quarters. The United States was able to capitalize on this weakness in a 109-81 shellacking. New Zealand led Jordan by five points with 25 seconds left in the fourth quarter, but Jordan came back to force overtime. New Zealand won, but they had to expend energy. They made 13 of 25 shots from downtown, and Yanni Wetzell can hold his own in the paint. New Zealand to cover.

Bet on the FIBA World Cup to Win

Iran vs Spain

Basketball Lines: Iran (+33.5) vs Spain (O/U 155.1)
When: Wednesday, August 30 at 9:30 am ET
Where: Indonesia Arena, Jakarta, Indonesia
TV / Streaming: ESPN+

Spain has already won Group G after knocking off Brazil by 18 points in their second group play game. They beat Ivory Coast by 30 points in their opener. Iran has lost both games, falling to Ivory Coast by two and taking a 41-point beating from Brazil. Spain has little motivation to keep the hammer down, so this seems like an immense line. Iran to cover.
