Kyle Busch

Busch has won twice and has four top-ten finishes at the Sonoma Raceway. He will be going for his fifth victory in 2019 this week. If he wins, he would become the third three-time winner of the Toyota Save Mart 350, and his form both on this course and in recent races make him a solid choice, especially given that he offers more value than Harvick.

Jimmie Johnson

Johnson had finished in the top ten twice in a row before settling back into the pack, but he has finished in the top ten nine times at the Sonoma Raceway and picked up the win here nine years ago. As long as Johnson can stay away from a crash, he offers a significant amount of value and has the experience on this track to pull out a win that would deliver a huge payout.

Kurt Busch

Busch came in second at the FireKeepers Casino 400 and has seven top-10 finishes in his last eight races at the Sonoma Raceway — including a victory here eight years ago. In 18 appearances at the Sonoma Raceway in his career, he has ten top-10 finishes overall. He offers enough value to make him worth considering.

Kevin Harvick

Harvick keeps sniffing victory and is due soon. He won the Toyota Save Mart 350 in 2017 and has six finishes in the top five here in his career. He has an average finish of 3.25 in his last four appearances at this event. He also has a couple of victories at the Sonoma Raceway racing with the Camping World Truck Series. So despite a lack of success in 2019, he is the favorite.

Martin Truex Jr

Truex Jr. has three wins in his last seven races. He won the Toyota Save Mart 350 in 2015 and 2018, and he has three top-five finishes in his last six races at the Sonoma Raceway overall. It has been 19 years since a driver won the Toyota Save Mart 350, when Jeff Gordon pulled off the repeat. Truex does not offer a lot of value, but his history here and recent race results make him a smart pick.

Chase Elliott

Elliot finished in fourth and eighth place in his last two starts at the Sonoma Raceway. He won last year at Watkins Glen, another road course NASCAR event, so the approach required should be accessible to him.

Erik Jones

Looking for a dark horse? Take a look at Erik Jones. He finished in seventh place here last year, and he has a fifth-place and a tenth-place result at Watkins Glen as a NASCAR racer. Racing in the Xfinity Series, he also has an eighth-place result at Watkins Glen.
