UFC Fight Night 152 is set for Saturday night at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York. Rafael dos Anjos (28-11) vs Kevin Lee (17-4)

is an intriguing matchup that offers significant benefits to both fighters if they win. Dos Anjos looked like he was heading to the rare status as a UFC two-division champion, but now he faces the likelihood of losing his status as a contender if he can’t beat Lee. He had worked his way to lightweight champion but then lost the belt, before moving to 170 pounds. Dos Anjos beat Tarec Saffiedine, Neil Magny and Robbie Lawler somewhat easily, giving him an interim title fight against Colby Covington, which lead to a bad loss. He likes to establish the pressure, but Covington is a wrestler who can bring their own control and push him backward. Even though dos Anjos landed some bombs against Covington’s iffy defense, he took the loss. Then he took on Kamaru Usman, another solid wrestler in the UFC welterweight division, and lost again. Now he gets a third straight wrestler in Lee — can he win? Lee started off with some bumps in his UFC career, losing to Al Iaquinta in his debut and taking a knockout from Leonardo Santos. However, he put together a five-bout winning streak that included submission wins over Michael Chiesa and Francisco Trinaldo. He got an interim title fight against Tony Ferguson and lost — but looked solid in doing so, and then he railroaded Edson Barboza in his next fight. His last fight, in December, was a rematch with Iaquinta, and he lost again on the cards. A win over dos Anjos would make him look like he is on his way to contending, while a loss would add to the questions. Given Lee’s solid wrestling background, though, I’m going with him to get the points. UFC Fight Night 152 Prediction: Lee wins via decision

Antonio Carlos Jr (10-2) vs Ian Heinisch (12-1)

gives us a fighter who has shaken off some early adversity in the promotion to find success in Carlos Jr. He entered at light heavyweight but took a loss on the ground to Patrick Cummins. He went down to 185 pounds and then beat Eddie Gordon before taking a knockout from Daniel Kelly. After that, Carlos Jr has won five in a row, using his wrestling game to deliver submissions, as he has more skills and strength here than most middleweights. Heinisch is an intriguing story, because he ended up in a Spanish prison after drug trafficking charges, and that’s where he started wrestling. He came to the UFC by taking a replacement slot in a fight at the last minute and beating Cezar Ferreira in the processes. Heinisch likes to bring big bombs and wrestle his opponents to the ground. He has stamina and can impose his will on the opposition. Could Heinisch use his wrestling skills to get Carlos Jr to the ground? Maybe, but Carlos Jr could do the same thing — and he has more of a track record at this level. UFC Fight Night 152 Prediction: Carlos Jr wins via decision
