NFL Week 14 Over/Under Picks for Thursday, Sunday and Monday Games

NFL Week 14 Over/Under Picks for Thursday, Sunday and Monday Games

Written by on December 5, 2022

Life after Tom Brady continues to be difficult for Bill Belichick in New England. After a season of Cam Newton running the offense, the Patriots are nearing the end of Mac Jones’ second season. At the end of this week’s frustrating 24-10 loss in Buffalo, Jones went on a bit of a rant on the sideline, calling for deeper pass plays. The Pats are tied for last in the league in red zone efficiency, with just a dozen. Check out our NFL betting picks for the next games on the calendar.

NFL News: Week 14 O/U Picks

Thursday, December 8

Las Vegas Raiders (-5.5) at L.A. Rams (O/U 44.5) (8:15 pm ET, Prime Video)

The Rams almost pulled off a tough win over Seattle at home with John Wolford at quarterback. The Raiders don’t play a lot of defense, and their offense should be able to move the ball through the air. Take the over.

Sunday, December 11

N.Y. Jets (+9.5) at Buffalo Bills (44.5) (1:00 pm ET)

The Jets won the first meeting between the two teams, turning a 14-3 deficit into a 20-17 upset win. The Bills have shown a more consistent offense since then, including a big win over New England last week. Take the over.

Cleveland Browns (+6) at Cincinnati Bengals (47.5) (1:00 pm ET)

Deshaun Watson didn’t generate a lot of offense in his Browns debut last week, but once the rust comes off, he is supposed to be able to jump-start a Browns offense that, for now, is run-heavy. Joe Burrow has never beaten the Cleveland Browns. I expect a closer game than the laugher the Browns had in their first meeting. Take the under.

Houston Texans (+17) at Dallas Cowboys (44.5) (1:00 pm ET)

Yes, Dallas dropped 33 points on Indianapolis in the fourth quarter this past week. They were up 21-19 going into the final period. Houston struggles against just about everyone, but can the Cowboys put up enough points to beat the total? Take the under.

Minnesota Vikings (+1.5) at Detroit Lions (53.5) (1:00 pm ET)

The Vikings’ defense is serviceable, but Detroit’s is quite porous. It’s a good thing that the Lions can put up a lot of points. That has a lot to do with this college football-sized point total. Take the over.

Jacksonville Jaguars (+3.5) at Tennessee Titans (42.5) (1:00 pm ET)

‘The Titans will have some frustrations to work out after losing to Philadelphia this past week. Can they reestablish the run against Jacksonville? Can they slow down Trevor Lawrence? Take the over.

Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) at N.Y. Giants (45.5) (1:00 pm ET)

The Giants are taking on water, while the Eagles seem to have fixed the offensive yips that were concerning up until the win over Green Bay. Take the over.

Baltimore Ravens (+3) at Pittsburgh Steelers (36.5) (1:00 pm ET)

Don’t look now, but Kenny Pickett and the Steelers are ready to go on a roll. But Lamar Jackson (knee) is doubtful, which would give Tyler Huntley the start. Huntley played three quarters on Sunday, helping the Ravens to a 10-9 win over Denver. Can Pickett do enough damage to carry the Steelers’ end of this bargain? I say yes. Take the over.

Kansas City Chiefs (-8.5) at Denver Broncos (43.5) (4:05 pm ET)

The Chiefs lost at Cincinnati last week, but the Broncos’ offense is ridiculous, so even if the Chiefs put up a lot of points, the Broncos should not score a whole lot. This line is low, though, and a final score of about 34-16 would be way over. Take the over.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NL) at San Francisco 49ers (NL) (4:25 pm ET)

No lines are in play for this weekend as the NFL prepares for the prospect of Brock Purdy taking the reins of the San Francisco offense.

Carolina Panthers (+3.5) at Seattle Seahawks (43.5) (4:25 pm ET)

Carolina released Baker Mayfield this week, while the Seahawks delivered a bruising win over the Rams. The Seahawks can score some points, but what will Carolina be able to do? Take the under.

Miami Dolphins (-2.5) at L.A. Chargers (51.5) (8:20 pm ET, NBC)

Tua? Justin? Mike Williams? Jaylen Waddle? Tyreek Hill? Keenan Allen? Take the over right now.

Monday, December 12

New England Patriots (-1.5) at Arizona Cardinals (44.5) (8:15 pm ET, ESPN)

The Cardinals are struggling on offense, and the Patriots have gone into a complete stall, at least for now. Take the under.
