Eight teams remain in the chase for the NFL’s Lombardi Trophy, given to the team that wins the Super Bowl each year. In the AFC, Indianapolis heads to Kansas City and the Chargers travel to New England in the divisional round. In the NFC, Dallas heads west to take on the Rams, and Philadelphia returns to the site of a 48-7 drubbing earlier this year to face New Orleans. We have your full schedule for the weekend’s games, including television, radio and live stream information, as well as the point spread, point total and our brief thoughts about each matchup from a NFL betting perspective.

NFL Divisional Round Betting Guide

Saturday, January 12

Indianapolis at Kansas City (4:35pm ET)

Indianapolis comes in having won 10 of 11, including a 21-7 beatdown of the Houston Texans on the road last weekend. They are getting fearless passing from Andrew Luck for the first time since he led the Colts all the way to the AFC Championship (before his shoulder injury and kidney laceration sidelined him and left him largely ineffective for several seasons), and they are getting fierce running from Marlon Mack. Their defense is hitting opponents in the mouth early. They look a lot more focused than a Kansas City team that can score in bunches but has a hard time getting defensive stops, particularly on the ground. Pick: Indianapolis to cover.

Dallas at L.A. Rams (8:15pm ET)

There were a lot of people worried about Dallas’ chances at home against Seattle in the wild card round. After all, the Cowboys have won just three playoff games in the last 22 years. They showed terrific defense against the run, and the Seahawks kept stubbornly trying to run. However, the Seahawks were able to torch the Dallas secondary. Can Jared Goff do the same? Or will the Cowboys’ pass rush do a better job against a less mobile quarterback? Also, the Rams have shown major issues defending the run, and the Cowboys bring the league’s leading rusher in Ezekiel Elliott. Pick: Dallas to cover.

Sunday, January 13

L.A. Chargers at New England (1:05pm ET)

The Chargers have won eight straight games away from home, and one reason is Philip Rivers, who has a 32:12 TD:INT ratio. Melvin Gordon has run for 925 yards and 11 scores this season and gives their offense balance. With that said, this is the Patriots they’re taking on, and there’s a lot of mental baggage for opponents to overcome. The Chargers have covered in five of their last six road playoff games and in five of their last seven overall, and while the Patriots might win on the last drive, I don’t see them covering. Pick: Los Angeles to cover.

Philadelphia at New Orleans (4:40pm ET)

The Eagles made Mitch Trubisky’s offense look silly for three quarters, until the Bears figured out that wide receivers making a double move would open up the passing game, as ESPN’s Bill Barnwell noticed. The Eagles had already scored too many points for the Bears to catch up, though, and a last-second field goal block by Philadelphia secured an ugly win. Nick Foles threw two picks for the Eagles in this game, and if Philadelphia comes out this sloppy next week, it won’t be pretty. Pick: New Orleans to cover.
