Purdue’s 2-6 start includes a three-game losing streak that they carry to Michigan. They lost at Nebraska last week, 31-14, getting their two touchdowns in garbage time. Hudson Card went 16 of 32 for only 100 yards with two picks and a touchdown pass, which went to Jaden Dixon-Veal. Devin Mockobee was the top rusher with just 42 yards. He did average six yards per carry as the team was behind so quickly that they had to focus on passing the ball. On defense, the Wolverines held the Spartans under 200 yards of total offense.

The wolverines need to get the running game off the ground early against Purdue to cover. That will allow for play-action calls that send the ball down the field and burn the secondary. Purdue likes to pass the ball, but Michigan has held teams to 141 passing yards per game.
