On defense, Michigan might not have either of their starting safeties, and the Pirates have Mason Garcia, a one-time four-star recruit, at quarterback. TCU lost a ton of players to graduation and the NFL after last year’s unlikely run to the national championship game, and we’ve seen two numbers shift since this line opened: TCU was favored by 21 ½ points, and that line has contracted by a point. The initial point total was 59 ½ and has jumped up. TCU’s defense was opportunistic but not shutdown last year, and we really have no idea what Colorado’s defense will do. The front seven on defense will also be a problem for Florida State. The Seminoles return quarterback Jordan Travis and edge rusher Jared Verse and are favorites to win the ACC.
