The top receiver is Jalon Calhoun, with 24 catches for 368 yards and two scores. Jordan Moore is the other features wideout, with 322 yards and three scores on 25 catches.
Duke covered the spread in three of the six games in which they were underdogs and went 9-4 against the spread for the season. They opened the season with a 28-7 win over then-#9 Clemson and have only allowed more than seven points in two games this season. They lost to Notre Dame at home three weeks ago but came out of the bye prepared to smother N.C. State, 24-3, at home a week ago.

Lawrence Toafili has been the other main tailback, with 228 yards and two touchdowns. He has also caught a dozen passes for 92 yards. Accompanying Keon Coleman in the receiver group is Johnny Wilson, who has caught 20 passes for 357 yards and two scores. Jaheim Bell has caught 14 passes for 238 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Florida State went 9-1 straight up in games when they were moneyline favorites a year ago, but they were just 8-5 against the spread on the season. The Seminoles have scored at least 31 points in each of their six games this season. While some of those games have happened against teams with suspect defenses (such as LSU and Southern Miss), hanging 31 points on Clemson’s defense was not a fluke.

Duke has put together a hungry defense, but when they see the Seminoles this weekend, they will face a team motivated to keep their top-four ranking and loaded with offensive talent unlike any unit they have seen so far in 2023. In Duke’s only loss this season, they allowed 21 points to a Notre Dame team that lost at Louisville. The game might be mostly even through the first quarter or two as the teams feel each other out, but Florida State should pull away after the intermission. I predict a final score of Florida State 34, Duke 16.
