How to Bet Red Storm Vs Musketeers

If you like a nice safe bet, you could probably just take Xavier straight up and walk away with a little profit. That doesn’t really present much of a betting challenge, which is why the point spread or the game total might be a better option for those of you looking to cash out a nice winning ticket.

Why Bet on the St. John’s Red Storm

I am not even going to try and make a case for the Red Storm (7-15, 0-9) winning this one, as I believe there is zero chance that it will happen. Your best bet with these guys is to take them to cover, although even that is a tricky option, as they have been somewhat all over the place this season. For example, they were blown out by an unranked Seton Hall as a 16-point dog last week, but then followed that up by covering against a ranked Villanova team despite being a 20-point underdog to start that one. What you might be seeing are some of the better teams easing up or playing bench guys late in the game, which might allow St. John’s to cover. The Red Storm are averaging 66.4 PPG, and are giving up 74.0 PPG.

Why Bet on the Xavier Musketeers

xavier-vs-st-john-ncaab-betting-picks The Musketeers (19-2, 7-2) have recovered nicely after a shock defeat at the hands of Georgetown a couple of weeks back, and are coming into this one on a 3-game winning streak. Included in that run was a 75-68 win over a ranked Providence team, which helped Xavier jump into a top 10 spot in the NCAA rankings. This will be the second meeting of the year between these two teams, and it was Xavier who picked up the comfortable 74-66 win over St. John’s on the road in the last meeting. The Musketeers failed to cover in that one, but they may well be a better bet to do so in their won building. The Musketeers are averaging 79.9 PPG, and are giving up 67.2 PPG.

Expert Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

I am not really going out on a limb by predicting the Musketeers to win this one, but I am taking a shot with the margin of victory. I like Xavier to win this one by 20-plus points. St. John’s Red Storm 58 Xavier Musketeers 82
