Why should you bet on Seattle?

Don’t give that 16.20 ERA next to Roenis Elias’ name too much weight, because he just had one bad outing in a limited role so far this season. He is coming back up from Triple-A Pawtucket to make his first start of the 2016 campaign (the Red Sox have not needed a fifth starter since June 1). Despite the fact that only a couple of the Mariners have ever faced Elias, they know him well, since all 49 of his prior career starts came in a Seattle uniform. Getting a new pitcher in this situation should give the Mariner offense some good pitches to hit.

Why should you put your money on the Red Sox?

Boston has the most prolific offense in the American League, averaging just under six runs a game so far this season. Hisashi Iwakuma has pitched well lately (4-1, 3.71 ERA in his last five starts), but in four career starts against the Red Sox, he has been hit hard, with a 0-1 record and 10.20 ERA in four starts).
