Matches for June 27

100 Thieves (1.55) vs Counter Logic Gaming (2.36) (4:00 pm ET)

These two teams have met 10 times overall, with 100 Thieves prevailing seven times and Counter Logic Gaming winning the other three. 100 Thieves has won the last three, with Counter Logic Gaming last winning in LCS Summer 2019 Group Stage play.

100 Thieves ended a four-match losing streak with a win over Immortals in LCS Summer 2020 Group Stage play. The odds on this match seem more based on the rivalry between these two teams than on their recent form. Counter Logic Gaming lost their LCS Summer 2020 Group Stage opener to Evil Geniuses and has since reeled off three wins in a row, although all of those wins came against teams that are now either 0-4 or 1-3. Based on form and value, I’m taking the underdogs here.

  • League of Legends LCS Prediction: Counter Logic Gaming wins

Team SoloMid (2.48) vs Evil Geniuses (1.5) (5:00 pm ET)

This will be the third meeting between the two teams; Team SoloMid have won the first two. Team SoloMid’s two wins so far in LCS Summer 2020 Group Stage play have come against the two 0-4 teams, and they have lost to Team Liquid and FlyQuest so far. Evil Geniuses delivered Team Liquid their only loss in group stage play so far in their last match after losing to unbeaten Cloud9. Despite Team SoloMid’s dominance in the rivalry, Evil Geniuses has the better start to this season.

  • League of Legends LCS Prediction: Evil Geniuses win

Team Liquid (1.25) vs Dignitas (3.71) (6:00 pm ET)

Dignitas has won two of the three previous matches in this rivalry, but Team Liquid won the last matchup, in LCS Spring 2020 Group Stage play. Team Liquid had a three-game winning streak in LCS Summer 2020 Group Stage play until they lost their last matchup, with Evil Geniuses. Dignitas has not won any of their first four group stage matches, so I’m going with current form instead of the state of the rivalry here.

  • League of Legends LCS Prediction: Team Liquid wins

Golden Guardians (1.5) vs Immortals (2.48) (7:00 pm ET)

This will be the third matchup between these two teams, who have split the first two meetings, which both took place in LCS Spring 2020 Group Stage play. Golden Guardians beat Dignitas to start LCS Summer 2020 Group Stage play but has dropped three in a row. Immortals has yet to win in the summer season and ended their LCS Spring 2020 season on a losing streak as well. If you must choose between these two struggling teams, go with the favorites, but don’t put a ton of money down.

  • League of Legends LCS Prediction: Golden Guardians win
