Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena video game that serves as a sequel to Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) which came out as a community-made mod for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne, its expansion pack. Dota 2 matches involve two teams of five players. Each team has its own base on the map, and each of the players controls a hero, with unique play styles and abilities.
