Written by on July 8, 2020

eSports has become the focus of the sports betting world, and the pro eSports league for Call of Duty is The Call of Duty League. We are in Week 11 of the 2020 season, the New York Home Series. This was originally scheduled for May 5 and 6, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced a postponement. After the tournament was moved online, this round was was reset to July 10-12. Take a look at the matchups as well as our Call of Duty betting thoughts on Friday’s matchups.

eSports: Call of Duty League Matches: July 10

The teams are divided into two groups, each group playing through a double-elimination bracket. The two winners from each group bracket will advance to the semifinals. There is a new bracket each week. Each matchup is a best-of-five series. Once the teams get to the semifinals, it is single-elimination, also best-of-five. The teams are playing for a $100,000 prize pool split among the top four teams.

Week 11 Bracket

Group A

Round 1 (Friday, June 12)

Paris Legion vs Toronto Ultra (4:00 pm ET)

We have two teams that failed to make it into the money last week when Paris takes on Toronto. Toronto did snag ten points from coming in sixth, while Paris came in seventh. The week before, Paris was off while Toronto finished dead last. Then in Week 9, it was Paris in last while Toronto had the week off. Given that this is a battle of two bottom-feeders, I’m not putting a ton of money down, but since Toronto had the better Week 10, I’m taking them here.

  • Call of Duty Prediction: Toronto wins

Atlanta FaZe vs Los Angeles Guerrillas (7:00 pm ET)

In Week 8, the Guerrillas came in third place, snagging 20 points, while Atlanta had the week off. In Week 9, Atlanta came in second, while the Guerrillas finished third once again. Week 10 saw Atlanta come in second once again while the Guerrillas had the week off. This should be a great match between two of the top teams…but I like Atlanta to win.

  • Call of Duty Prediction: Atlanta wins

Group B

Round 1 (Friday, July 10)

London Royal Ravens vs Chicago Huntsmen (5:30 pm ET)

In Week 10, London snagged ten points with a fifth-place finish while Chicago had the week off. In Week 9, London had the bye while Chicago grabbed ten points for coming in sixth. Week 8 featured a first-place finish for Chicago, while London came in second. This match is too close to call, but since Chicago bested London in the title game for Week 8, I see London reversing that and getting revenge.

  • Call of Duty Prediction: London wins

New York Subliners vs Minnesota RØKKR (8:30 pm ET)

In Week 8, Minnesota came in sixth place, two slots behind New York. In Week 9, the RØKKR came in seventh while New York had the week off. In Week 10, New York finished third, while Minnesota had a bye. New York has had the better results lately, so give me the Subliners.

  • Call of Duty Prediction: New York wins
