NASCAR 4EVER 400 Odds and Betting Picks

The race starts at 2:30 pm Eastern time, with NBC carrying the telecast and Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM carrying the radio call. Last week, Kyle Larson came through as the top NASCAR betting favorite to win the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He led the most laps and pulled off both stage wins, but he still had to fight off Christopher Bell at the end, winning by just 0.082 seconds. The win ensured that Larson will hold one of the four slots in the Championship 4 race in three weeks in Phoenix. Brad Keselowski led 38 laps in the early going, but Larson held the lead seven times and ended up leading 133 of the 267 laps in the race. He now has led 1,031 total laps this season to lead the Cup Series. Let’s look at the NASCAR Cup Series Odds for each driver in Sunday’s 4EVER 400 race as well as wager card suggestions.

4EVER 400 Race Lines

Kyle Larson benefited handsomely from the track lineup in the Round of 16, as the intermediate-track packages took place at some of his best tracks – Bristol, Kansas, and Darlington. While Larson is a solid racer just about everywhere, he is elite on his favorite courses. In the opening round, he posted the highest driver rating at Darlington and the third-highest at Kansas. Even at Bristol, where he started in 36th, he rebounded to post the fourth-best driver rating. The Round of 12 began in Texas, with the same intermediate-track package, and Larson picked up the third-highest driver rating. He would have led if he had not had a wreck late in the race while fighting to the front on a restart. At Las Vegas last week, he was the winner and posted the highest rating. Now, since has clinched a spot in the Championship 4, he can take more risks, and Homestead is the sort of track that rewards risk-takers.

Tyler Reddick has won two Xfinity Series Championships – and a couple of Xfinity races at Homestead. He loves to ride the wall here, and the wall is where the speed is most available. Even when he glides into the wall, the Next Gen car can absorb some punishment. He is still looking for his first Cup Series win on this track; in fact, he has only led three laps in three Cup Series races here. However, he has finished in the top five here twice. With next week’s race coming at Martinsville, where Reddick has traditionally struggled, he needs to shine here to have any hope of a Championship 4 berth.

Chris Buescher is as dark of a horse as I will recommend this week, because one of the eight playoff drivers will win this race. A win earns a slot in the Championship 4, and there are only three positions left. Buescher is 23 points below the cut line for the top four, and as the drivers above him pick up stag points, that cut line will just grow. Buescher is not likely at all to win at Martinsville, with just one top-10 finish in 16 races there. Buescher has three Cup series wins this season, with the Michigan win coming on an intermediate track. At Homestead, he led 57 laps in 2021 but got caught in traffic and had to settle for 19th. Expect him to push hard for the win here.
