Week 11 of 2015-16 college football season presents us with some exciting NCAAF lines and betting encounters between various teams, as the race for divisional and conference titles continue to intensify. One of such encounters is the dicey rivalry-fueled encounter between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (3-6) and the Virginia Tech Hokies (4-5) slated to take place on Thursday night.
On one hand, the Yellow Jackets will be hoping to get their season back on track after suffering a loss to the Cavaliers two weeks ago before a Week 10 bye. On the other hand, Virginia Tech is coming into this college football odds showdown with the hope of continuing in winning ways after beating the Boston Eagles in their last outing. Below are some insights to guide you on how to place your wagers on this game.
Venue: Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field, Atlanta, Georgia
Date: Thursday, November 12, 2015
Time: 7:30 PM ET
TV: ESPN
NCAAF Lines: Virginia Tech (+3), Georgia Tech (-3), OVER/UNDER 53.5
Led by Brewer and Motley, this offense is definitely capable of giving GT a run for their money, especially in terms of matching their scoring prowess. But in order to have a full winning experience on both sides of the ball, they must find ways of making sufficient stops against the Yellow Jackets offense that has commendably scored 20-or-more points in each of its last seven games (despite six of those games ending in losses).

Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Tech Thursday NCAAF Betting Analysis
Betting on Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
The Yellow Jackets come into this game on a very worrying run, winning just once in their last seven games. In their last encounter about two weeks ago, they lost 21-27 to the Virginia Cavaliers. Quarterback Justin Thomas wasn’t that bad in that game, though, as he completed 13 of his 31 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. The Georgia Tech defense was however found suspect, allowing Virginia’s QB Justin Thomas to throw for a season-high 251 yards. Outside Rod Rook-Chungong who had one interception in that game, the defense looked shaky for most of the game. Against a Hokies offense that likes to control the clock, a much better outing will be requited from this unsteady defense that has already cost the team a good number of games this season. Offensively, the Yellow Jackets lead the ACC in rushing with 267.9 yards per game. They also decently come sixth in terms of possession in the league with an average of 31:22 minutes per game. More notably, Thomas leads the passing game with six touchdowns and 1166 yards, while Marcus Marshall is the team’s best speedster with 531 yards and four touchdowns. On the receiving end, Ricky Jeune tops the team with 422 yards, 20 receptions and three touchdowns. Despite such decent numbers, especially in running the ball, the Jackets haven’t been able to light it up since the first month of season. An invigorated effort will thus be required from this offense, considering they’ll be going against a Hokies defense that reduced the Eagles just three points in the first three quarters of their encounter last week. Without a solid performance, the Jackets will end up recording their seventh loss of the season this ThursdayBetting On Virginia Tech Hokies
The Hokies come into this game with their confidence real high after they ended their two-game losing streak with a 26-10 win over Boston College Eagles. The Hokies took care of the ball formidably on both sides of the lines of scrimmage against Boston College. That win must, however, be taken with a pinch of caution, considering the Eagles have been one of the poorest teams in the nation this season, so beating them is not something to be excessively celebrated or praised. That said, the Virginia Tech boasts of some solid pieces in the offense to help its course this Thursday. Brenden Motley leads the attack with 1155 yards, 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions, though Michael Brewer has equally been impressive for VT since his return from injury. In his three starts, Brewer has completed 42 of 70 passes (60 percent) for 515 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. In the rushing department, Travon McMillian (665 yards, 121 carrier and three touchdowns) is the go-to guy, while Isaiah Ford has the receiving game on his shoulders with 615 yards, seven touchdowns and 44 receptions.
