Over the years, a number of different college conferences have seen teams leave, with new teams coming in to replace them. In some cases, this makes a conference stronger, but in other, like with the Big East, it makes the conference weaker. All of that said, there is a still a great Big East match-up to look forward to on Saturday, as #24 Georgetown travel to #7 Villanova to take on the Wildcats.

Game Analysis and NCAAB Betting Preview
While both teams obviously want the win here, it is the Hoyas who are sure to be the more desperate of the two. A loss would see them lose even more ground to Villanova in the conference standings, and would give them 5 conference losses so far. At 20-2, you have to wonder if Villanova will even rack up 5 losses in the entire season. The Hoyas will be leaning heavily on D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera, who is averaging 15.8 PPG. He was able to chip in 21points in a losing effort the last time these two teams locked horns. The Wildcats offense does a great job of spreading the scoring among a number of different shooters, with no less than 6 players averaging over 9 PPG. A win in this one will not guarantee a conference title for Villanova, but it would more than likely take Georgetown out of the mix. They will be looking to put in a better performance against the Hoyas than they did last time out, when they rolled into Georgetown on a 4-game win streak, only to leave with a 58-78 beating.
