    Given the fact that Anthony Davis is out for the season, there might be a temptation for the Pelicans to pack it in and prepare for the lottery. That didn’t seem to be their impulse on Sunday, though, as they beat the visiting Clippers behind Jrue Holiday’s 22 points. Omer Asik added 15 points and 14 boards, and Dante Cunningham dropped 19 more on the Clippers. The Pelicans led by as many as 14 but held on to win by four. If they can put that same combination of hustle together again with the Heat in town, they could pull off another upset.

It was the Cavs’ fifth game in seven nights, but the Heat dominated this game from start to finish and are heating up in the East.
