There are sports fans out there who love to see a great battle for a championship, while others like to watch total dominance and a single team or athlete making history. ght now, in the MotoGP betting championship, fans who love dominance will be thrilled—Marc Marquez is just a couple wins away from his 7th title. He has been nothing short of brilliant this season, winning for fun and leaving all the other riders in his wake, and whole it makes for something of an anti-climactic finish to the season, it is also fantastic to see one of the greats back at his best after struggles with injuries over the past few years. There are 8 races still to come, but who will win those events? Marquez would be the easy answer, but let’s leave him out of the equation and try to pick some other potential winners.
Catalan Grand Prix
Last year, we had Francesco Bagnaia winning this race, with Jorge Martin in 2nd place. Bagnaia is 3rd overall this season, so it would not be a major shock if he could get a win on a track where Marquez has not always been at his best.
San Marino and Rimini Grand Prix
We are probably going to see a lot of familiar names when looking for potential winners. Marquez won here last season, but in the years prior, you have had Bagnaia and Martin once again either winning or in the mix.
Japanese Grand Prix
We are going to start sounding like a broken record at some point, but once again, Bagnaia and Martin have been among the best in this race over the past couple of seasons. Pedro Acosta might also be one to look at in this race, as he won the pole last season.
Indonesian Grand Prix
One thing we haven’t mentioned is current form, so also take that into account, as things can change on a weekly basis. Pedro Acosta has been good on this track and has also been hot of late. Marquez failed to finish here in the last 2 runs, so upset possibilities in this one.
Australian Grand Prix
Marquez won this one last MotoGP season and will likely get a lot of love, which means the odds for the other riders are likely to be good. Francesco Bagnaia is the one that jumps out here. He has not been great of late, but a return to form is always possible.
Malaysian Grand Prix
This is a race that has not been kind to Marquez over the years, so perhaps another opening in this one. Again, Bagnaia has to be in the conversation, and while not in great form, Enea Bastianini is another that has been good in Malaysia.
Portuguese Grand Prix
This one has traditionally been closer to the start of the season, although I’m not sure moving it to the end makes a ton of difference. Bagnaia has enjoyed his time on this track, as has Jorge Martin.
Valencian Grand Prix
This race was not on the schedule for last season, so you have to go back a couple of years to find recent winners. Bagnaia is once again in there, but Brad Binder has been on the podium in each of the last 2 races in Valencia. He would be a longshot for sure in this one.
