Minneapolis City won the Heartland Division on goal difference over Sueno City, and proved that they can also score goals. They needed penalties to get past Peoria after a 2-2 draw before beating Sueno City 2-0 in the last round.

Vermont Green Vs Lionsbridge – Eastern Conference Final

The goals continued in the next round, although they had to work hard for a 3-2 win over FC Motown II. Lionsbridge finished the regular season in 2nd place in the Chesapeake Division and are perhaps a bit of a dark horse. They beat Salem City 4-0 in the first round, then won 2-1 over Northern Virginia.

Ballard ended the regular season as the champions of the Northwest Division and then went into the playoffs on an absolute tear. Ventura County won the Southwest Division by 4 points to punch their playoff ticket. They beat San Juan 2-1 in the first round before going on to win 2-0 against FC Tucson.
