There’s no better way to amp up your betting winnings than hitting both ends of an NFL Parlay in Week 3. In a competition with as much parity as the National Football League, hitting on a pair of games can be tricky. Imagine if you had laid a bunch of money down on the Dallas Cowboys against Denver in the wake of their demolition of the New York Giants in Week One.
We’ve looked at some of the trends from the first couple of weeks of regular season action and have two different NFL betting picks to parlay on.
As we shift to the Giants-Eagles matchup, a lot of people thought that the return of Odell Beckham, Jr. to the Giants’ offensive lineup would solve a lot of problems. However, the Detroit Lions went to New York and shut down the Giants, 24-10.
Yes, New York found the end zone in this game (unlike the opener), but they only found it once. Eli Manning had a lot of time in the pocket (his average seconds from snap to snack was 4.8, longer than the NFL average), but his receivers simply could not get open. Given how much the Giants paid to bring in Brandon Marshall, that is not a good sign for the G-Men.
Philadelphia took Kansas City to the limit in their Week Two tilt, and it was a late interception by the Chiefs that ended up sealing matters.
Carson Wentz continues to spin away from trouble and buy time to make big plays down the field, and once LeGarrette Blount settles into the Eagles’ running game, this could be the team that slides past Dallas into that division throne. I see the Eagles winning this home game over New York handily.

Brunch Edition
Baltimore (-4) over Jacksonville (in London) / Philadelphia (-6) over N.Y. Giants
Start your morning by watching the Baltimore Ravens dominate the Jacksonville Jaguars across the Atlantic Ocean, in the majestic confines of Wembley Stadium. The Jaguars did take apart Houston in the season opener, but the Texans entered that game thinking that Tom Savage is a legitimate starting quarterback in the NFL – a mistake that they only persisted in maintaining for a half of football. Baltimore’s defense is more than enough to contain Leonard Fournette by stacking eight men in the box and daring Blake Bortles to throw the ball down the field. The Ravens’ secondary can provide coverage until the rush gets to Bortles – or until he makes a mistake and throws a pick. The Jacksonville defense got exposed badly by Tennessee last week – and DeMarco Murray didn’t even have that big a day for the Titans. Joe Flacco has returned from a season of injury and another season of timidity with resolve, and his passes are looking crisp. If the Ravens approach the game with the same methodical drive that they used to overwhelm Cincinnati and Cleveland in the first two games, they should have no trouble winning — and covering — against Jacksonville.
