Why should you bet on the Mariners?

The Mariners’ offense has been sputtering a bit during their cold streak, but Comerica Park is a spacious field with big alleys and room for extra base hits to fall.

Detroit is also bringing up a minor league pitcher for this start, but Daniel Norris pitched a gem in his last start at Toledo (AAA) on Friday, going seven scoreless innings and striking out eight batters. Robinson Cano and Kyle Seager are the only Mariners who have ever faced Norris, and they have yet to get a hit. The Tigers have also seen Miguel Cabrera’s bat wake up a bit during this series, and if he can get some fat pitches from Sampson, he and the rest of the Tiger offense could have a big day.
