Sixty-four of the world’s best golfers will take part in the 2019 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play. A draw divided the competitors into 16 groups for the tournament at Austin Country Club. The tournament has three rounds of group play, featuring round-robin head-to-head match play among the four members of each group. running Wednesday through Friday. The sixteen winners of each group will move on to Saturday morning, when the sudden-death phase begins. Sunday morning will mark the start of the Championship Final. Sergio Garcia

• 2019 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play Odds: +4500

He has never played all that well in this event, but he has played quite well at the Ryder Cup, which has a similar format. Garcia also makes Austin his home, so this is a great place to bet on his luck changing. Garcia did not play well at the Valspar Championship, so this pick is based more on his performance in match play as well as the big value that this moneyline offers.

Rory McIlroy

• 2019 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play Odds: +1000

McIlroy won last week at THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP and has six consecutive top-six finishes. He won this tournament four years ago and came in second place in 2012. He didn’t crack the top 30 in either of the last two editions, but the way he is playing right now, as well as his history in match play, makes him a smart pick.

Rafael Cabrera Bello

• 2019 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play Odds: +6600

He’s another dark horse. The last two weeks have not been particularly strong, as his results at the Valspar Championship and THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP were shaky. However, before those two events he had put together 10 top-25 finishes in his last 11 tournaments and was in competition for the win at the Arnold Palmer. He finished in third place at this tournament three years ago and won two of his three group matches in 2017. That value and his play at this tournament should have you looking at him.

Justin Rose

• 2019 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play Odds: +2000

He played well at THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP and could see that form again this week. He has not won a group in eight straight years, but he has played well in the Ryder Cup over the years, so the format works for him. Given his recent form in other formats, consider adding him to this week’s card too.

Louis Oosthuizen

• 2019 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play Odds: +4000

Finally, hecame in second a week ago at the Valspar Championship, and he was the runner-up here three years ago. Last year, he won his group but ended up losing in the round of 16. If he can follow up last week with another big showing, his track record at match play is impressive.
