Why should you put your money on Manchester United?
Manchester United played a terrific match ahead of the COVID-19 hiatus, as they dominated a match against crosstown rival Manchester City on March 8. At Old Trafford, Anthony Martial scored a goal in the 30th minute, and the teams went into the locker room at halftime with the Red Devils up 1-0. Scott McTominay salted away the match in injury time at the end of the second half to deliver a final of 2-0.

Manchester City spent a lot of time with the ball but could not coordinate much in terms of a concerted attack. The teams did not combine for many fouls (20) given that it was a derby, but there were six yellow cards handed out, with two going to the Red Devils. City tried to put on the pressure, forcing 11 corners, but they could not break through. If the Red Devils can mount a similar defensive effort this week, they should have an excellent shot.

Tottenham must have been unhappy with their last match before the English Premier League went into shutdown mode, as they went to Burnley and settled for a 1-1 draw. Chris Wood opened the scoring for the hosts in the 13th minute, and it was not until early in the second half that Dele Alli was able to convert from the penalty spot for the Spurs and bring the match level. Neither team was able to break through the rest of the way, so both sides settled for the point.
Tottenham possessed for 55 percent of the match but found themselves outshot 18-12 by Burnley (and outshot 7-2 on target). The match had a great deal of physical play, with the teams combining for 27 fouls and nine yellow cards, with four going to Tottenham. Manchester United had been having a better season than Tottenham, and so without raucous fans in the stands, it’s hard to see the Spurs getting way up for this. I would point your attention toward picking the draw here, because I see both teams feeling each other out and not wanting to surrender three points, more than aggressively going for the win.
