The Patriots are just -3 in this game, so no matter what, we are likely not going to see a major upset. That had us thinking about the 10 biggest gambling upsets in Super Bowl betting history, and we have ranked them.

10. Super Bowl XLII: The New York Giants were a two touchdown underdog against the New England Patriots. The Giants came away with a 3 point win. The unbeaten Patriots team took a loss. That’s a 17 point difference. 9. Super Bowl XXXVI: The New England Patriots were a two touchdown underdogs against the St. Louis Rams. The Rams scored just 17 points, and lost the game. That was a difference of 17 points between the spread and the final score. 8. Super Bowl XXXII: The Denver Broncos were +11 against the Green Bay Packers, and they came away with a win by 7 points. An 18 point difference. Denver then went on to win the title next season, so in the grand scheme, not huge underdogs, but in this game certainly were. 7. Super Bowl XV: The Oakland Raiders beat the Philadelphia Eagles by 17 points. The Raiders were a 3 point underdog in this game. One of Philadelphia’s fail moments in Super Bowl history. 6. Super Bowl III: The New York Jets were +18 against the Baltimore Colts. We all know it’s history from there. A 27 point difference between the spread and the final score. 5. Super Bowl IV: The Kansas City Chiefs were +12, and they blasted the Minnesota Vikings 23-7. This is a whopping 28 point difference. 4. Super Bowl XXXVIII: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers dismantled the Oakland Raiders. The Buccaneers came into the game as a four point underdog. The Buccaneers scored 48 points and won the game by 27 points. That 31 point difference made for a massive upset. 3. Super Bowl XVIII: The Los Angeles Raiders were a field goal underdog. They took on the Washington Redskins, and the phrase “Just Win Baby” became a real thing. The Raiders beat the Redskins 38-9, making a 32 point difference. 2. Super Bowl XXLL: Anyone remember  when the Washington Redskins were +3 against John Elway and the Denver Broncos? Yeah, us either. But, it happened. The Redskins buried the Broncos 42-10. That makes a 35 point difference. 1 . Super Bowl XLVIII: Just recently,  The Seattle Seahawks came into the game against the Denver Broncos as +2. Richard Sherman, Marshawn Lynch and Pete Carroll blasted the Broncos. They won the game 43-8. That makes our difference 37 points, the largest in Super Bowl history.
